Sean was born in South Korea and moved to Canada at an early age. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law. During law school, he was involved in the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and UBC Legal Education Outreach. 

He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2023 and practiced at a boutique insurance litigation firm in Vancouver before joining Hoogbruin and Company. He has represented clients in the British Columbia Civil Resolution Tribunal and Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Sean is committed to serving his community through his legal practice. He recognizes the importance of providing guidance through challenging situations and aims to reflect this in his approach to the law.

Outside of the office, Sean enjoys hiking and is involved in his local church.

He is fluent in Korean.
